The Catholic Church has a process called the Rite of  Christian
Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and Children  between 7 and 18
years old (RCIC) to help answer the questions you may have.

RCIA/RCIC processes are designed for any adult or child who is:

  • Unbaptized and recognizes a need for spirituality in
his/her life

  • Searching for a Church to call his/her own and has a
general curiosity about the Catholic Church

  • Baptized in another Christian denomination,
but seeks full communion with the Catholic Church

  • A baptized Catholic but is in need of sacramental
    preparation for Eucharist and/or Confirmation

  • Married to a Catholic and attends Mass and/or other activities
regularly, and would like to learn more about the Catholic faith

  • A parent of children who are celebrating sacraments and
wishes to celebrate them as well
